A video chat app without the app
CamGoChat works like an app and installs like a bookmark. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to download from a store.
- iPhone: use Safari or Chrome. Allow camera and microphone when asked.
- Android: use Chrome or another recent browser, and allow the same permissions.
- Desktop: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work with a built-in or USB webcam.

Guest session or account
A guest session is enough to start chatting. It belongs to the browser you use, so you do not need an email address or a password.

What happens when you tap Next
Next ends the current conversation straight away and puts you back in line for another person. There is no goodbye to type and nothing to confirm. The person you left simply sees the call end, the same way you would if they moved on first.

Tips for a smoother first session
- Test your light and sound before your first match, not during it.
- Use Wi-Fi for video if you can. Mobile data works, but video uses more of it.
- Start with one easy question, and give each call about thirty seconds before you decide.
- Try text or audio first if the camera makes you nervous. Text chat with strangers is a gentle way in.
If the camera or microphone does not start
Nine times out of ten the cause is a permission. Try these in order:
- Click the lock or camera icon next to the address bar and set Camera and Microphone to Allow.
- On Safari for iPhone, open Settings, then Safari, then Camera and Microphone, and choose Ask or Allow.
- Close other apps that might be using the camera, such as a meeting app.
- Reload the page, then tap start again.
- Try another browser or switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi.
